Open Day 2026 – June Bank Holiday – Banner Beekeepers

Please note: Beesuits and gloves are provided, but please bring suitable footwear (wellies or sturdy closed-toe shoes recommended).

2026 Beginners Beekeeping course

Banner Beekeepers will run a Beginners Beekeeping course for people interested in learning about honeybees and beekeeping.

Dates: Three Saturdays, March 14th, 21st and 28th. Time: 0930 to 1630.

Venue: Quin Community Centre, Quin. V95 RX 75.

Cost: โ‚ฌ75 BBKA members, โ‚ฌ150 non-members. The cost includes BBKA membership for 2026 for non-members. The training days in Quin will cover bee biology, parts of a hive, swarming and bee behaviour, queen rearing and honey production. It will be followed up with visits to the Association Apiary during the season.
